Decks against houses look great right? However, many decks are built by DIY’ers and unfortunately they Breach the Termite Barriers potentially allowing concealed termite attack. Here is an example where the deck has been built correctly.
A Chemical Reticulation System has been installed beneath the deck against the Building prior to construction.
Alternative termite barriers could be used such as Physical Barriers eg Kordon, Termimesh, Termseal etc or you could rely on Visual Barriers by leaving a gap between the Deck & Building joins.
